Reading Instructor – 35 Hours Orton Gillingham Educator Training - 60 Hours Orton-Gillingham Associate Level Training
Hi! My name is Julia O’Quinn and I’m excited to join the fabulous team of educators at WNYDS.I received my Bachelor’s degree in Art History from SUNY Purchase in 2022, and completed 60 hours of Orton-Gillingham training that same year. Since then, I’ve worked with students K-12, both in and out of the classroom, to strengthen their literacy proficiency and provide support as they navigate the ups and downs of school-life. I know what it feels like to struggle with learning differences, so my approach is grounded in empathy and prioritizes the emotional wellbeing of my students. I look forward to working with you and your child to build confidence in their reading and writing skills (and hopefully have fun doing it!)
