Occupational Therapy Consultant
Hello! I am Karyn Michalski, BS/ MS OT. I graduated from D’Youville University (formerly D’Youville College) in Buffalo, NY and bring over 25 years of experience to my role as an OT consultant. In conjunction with my Masters degree I am also a certified Irlen Screener. My goal is to help students by making recommendations to manage daily tasks affected by learning differences. Key items I look at are fine motor control, pencil grip, sensory needs, visual processing, focus levels, ergonomic seating, and tool recommendations to improve educational success. I truly enjoy facilitating children in their learning experiences. My husband and I have 2 teenage children that we have enjoyed homeschooling for the past 4 years. Some of my personal interests include camping with my family, gardening, foraging/ herbalism, and reading historical fiction novels.
