Comprehensive Assessment
Our reading evaluation provides a thorough analysis of key literacy components, including reading comprehension, fluency, decoding abilities, spelling proficiency, and phonological awareness. While this assessment does not constitute a formal dyslexia diagnosis, it offers detailed insights into your student’s reading profile to guide educational decisions.
Expert Administration
Christina (Chrissy) Rheam conducts our one-on-one evaluations. Chrissy brings exceptional qualifications to this role, having earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Cedarville University with specializations in both music and early childhood studies. She furthered her expertise by completing her Master’s Degree as a Literacy Specialist at the University of Buffalo.
Detailed Reporting
Following the evaluation, you will receive a comprehensive 10-12 page report containing diagnostic conclusions and a thorough summary of findings. This detailed assessment provides an honest and complete picture of your student’s reading capabilities, empowering you to make informed decisions regarding appropriate reading interventions.
Additional Support for Enrolled Students
For families whose children are enrolled in our program and scheduled for an Enrollment Assessment, Karen Szalach will assist alongside Chrissy. Karen contributes 28 years of English teaching experience to our team. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in English from Niagara University, a Master’s degree in Education, and an EdD in Reading and Literacy from Capella University.
