Reading Instructor – 30 Hours Orton Gillingham Educator Training

Hello! My name is Zoë Dirig and I am very excited to be part of this incredible team as a reading instructor here at WNY Dyslexia Specialists. Currently I work as a middle school reading and math academic intervention teacher. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education from SUNY Fredonia and have recently graduated with a master’s in Literacy Education (B-6) from SUNY New Paltz. My long-term goal is to work in a school district as a Literacy Specialist.
While in my undergrad program, I started to learn more about the importance of literacy education and overtime it has become something I am passionate about learning more of. My goal as an educator is to make a meaningful and positive impact on every student I work with and I welcome having the opportunity to help aid in their growth and confidence as a reader and overall learner. I am a firm believer that everybody deserves the equal opportunity for an education that meets their learning needs. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, spending time outdoors hiking, traveling to new places and photography. I look forward to working with your child!
